On 17th October the CEBHC, Medicine and Health Sciences Library and South African Cochrane Centre jointly facilitated a session to more than 100 first year medical students on the approach to searching the literature. After phrasing a PICO question and developing related search terms students had the opportunity to practice searching PubMed using Boolean operators, truncation and Mesh terms. Facilitators guided and assisted students. This was a great session to facilitate in a multi-disciplinary team.
