Centre for Evidence-based Health Care staff member receives Medical Research Council Career Development Award

Dr Celeste Naude, senior researcher at the Centre for Evidence-based Health Care received the Medical Research Council (MRC) Career Development Award. This is one of the flagship awards of the Research Capacity Development Sub-Directorate of the MRC. The Career Development Programme is a partnership between the MRC and the tertiary education sector. The purpose thereof is to build research capacity and scientific leadership by creating new positions for senior post-doctoral scientists that have demonstrated a potential to become established researchers. The award is for a period of 2 years, starting in January 2013 and renewable for a further 2 years subject to satisfactory progress and availability of funds.
