Knowledge Translation – Workshops

Given the inherent complexity of decision-making, policy and practice decisions can be better informed if there is:

  1.  rigorous, robust and reliable evidence that is relevant, to these decisions
  2. translation and communication of this evidence into a form that is meaningful to decision-makers.

Knowledge Translation (KT) seeks to bridge the gap between research and decision-making (and the actors within each). As attention to KT in research, policy and practice grows, so does a need for capacity enhancement in KT knowledge, skills and activities amongst evidence producers and evidence users.

We offer various workshops tailored to different audiences to:

  • Enhance participants understanding of knowledge translation, and why it is important
  • share successes, challenges and best practices in knowledge translation
  • illustrate that research synthesis is central to knowledge translation
  • stimulate dialogue around the role of various stakeholders in knowledge translation.

We also run a dedicated course on Evidence-Informed Decision making: The Art, Science and Complexity of knowledge translation.
